Reiki Energy Work - Reiki is a Japanese technique for
stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes
healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and
is based on the idea that an unseen "life force
energy" flows through us. If one's "life force energy"
is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel
stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of
being happy and healthy. A treatment feels like a
wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and
around you. Reiki treats the whole person including
body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many
beneficial effects that include relaxation and
feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Reiki
sessions are available on their own or coupled with
traditional massage.
Deep Tissue Massage is generally designed for more focused massage work. By working a specific muscle or muscle group, the deeper layers of soft tissue can be reached. Starting superficially and easing into the depth of the muscle often allows more movement. This is often combined with other techniques for opening and softening tissue to restore circulation with its healing properties to the cellular level. Deep tissue often utilizes the therapist's forearms, a flat elbow, and heels of the hand.
Therapeutic Massage is designed to increase circulation and blood flow. Light cream is applied to the skin to reduce friction, allowing for long, smooth movements. It is often combined with other modalities to increase relaxation, reduce stress and relieve sore muscles.
Prenatal Massage is very similar to therapeutic massage. It makes use of a special pillow system allowing the mother-to-be to lie face down. This allows for greater accessibility to her hips, legs, neck, and back than traditional side-lying.
Raindrop Technique is a Healing Essential Oil Massage for Health, Relief of Back Pain & More An essential oil massage technique based on Lakota Native healing, Raindrop Therapy is the application of powerful antibacterial, antiviral oils along the spine. When it comes to treating back pain – as well as knee pain, tight shoulders, and digestive system discomfort – it can be hard to find something that will bring the body’s systems into alignment. One aid to solving these problems and more is a relatively new therapy called Raindrop Treatment, using essential oils that have been clinically tested to have antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the
principle that there a reflexes in the feet and hands
which correspond to every part of the body.
Reflexology helps to balance all the body systems,
stimulating underactive areas and calming overactive
areas.
