Balanced Body Reformer Training

We are thrilled to host Balance Body Reformer Trainings at Invoke Wellness Center! Learn how to bring the iconic Pilates apparatus to life, powering your practice and programming. The Reformer, developed by Joseph Pilates, is an extraordinarily flexible piece of exercise equipment. Our Balanced Body Reformer Instructor Training focuses on how to effectively teach the Pilates repertoire on the Reformer, including modifications for special populations and progressions for more advanced clients.

Discover Our Three Levels of Pilates Reformer Training

At Invoke Studio, our Pilates Reformer program is built around the ‘Universal’ Reformer—Joseph Pilates’s cornerstone piece of equipment. Whether you’re a movement novice or an experienced instructor, our three-tiered curriculum guides you from fundamental mechanics all the way through advanced teaching skills.

REGISTER

Level 1
Balanced Body Mat Training

Mat 1 forms the foundation of the Pilates method. This course includes an introduction to the history and principles of the Pilates method and the beginning and intermediate level exercises. Each exercise includes training on modifications, challenges, the purpose of the exercise and any precautions for injuries and special populations. How to design and teach group classes and guidelines for teaching seniors and pre and post-natal classes are included.

Level 2
Balanced Body Reformer Training

Reformer 2 expands the potential of the Reformer with intermediate and advanced exercises and includes associated safety protocols and modifications. Reformer 2 also explores programs designed for specific populations including pre and post–natal clients, clients with osteoporosis, and clients with lower back issues. Class design, dynamic assessment and correcting common dysfunctional movement patterns are also included.

Level 3
Balanced Body Reformer Training

Reformer 3 is the pinnacle of the Reformer work and includes advanced and super-advanced exercises. Challenge clients to achieve their best with progressive sequences designed to teach students advanced movement skills. In addition, our principle-based programming will guide you in the creation of safe and successful multi-level classes.

Prerequisite Recommendations

Reformer 1 and 2, or successful completion of a comparable Pilates Reformer program.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORs

NICO GONZALEZ

Nico Gonzalez is an international fitness educator, global movement trainer, and motivational speaker. Certified through ACE for Personal Training & Group Fitness and NCPT for Pilates training.

Currently Nico owns Fitness Physiques by Nico G where he trains clients throughout the week. He also is a Principal Educator for Balanced Body where his studio is the exclusive Authorized Training Center for Balanced Body Pilates education in the Southwest Ohio region. Nico is also the creator of Vital Lab Pro Education, a trainer resource site that provides continuing education to Pilates and fitness trainers. 

JennIfer lynn


Jennifer started her career after graduating summa cum laude from Xavier University, which led her to pursue additional training with MaddDogg Athletics in Spinning, The Physical Mind Institute for Mat Pilates, YogaFit for her 500 RYT, NASM for Personal Training, TRX, Concept 2 for Indoor Rowing and Ski Erg, Gravity EFI for Personal Training and Piloxing.

She holds a Balanced Body University Comprehensive Certification which required 488 hours of training.

Jennifer is an Educator for Balanced Body in Movement Principles and MOTR, and Apparatus (Mat 1,2,3, Reformer 1,2,3 and Apparatus). She is also an educator for Barre Above, Tabata Bootcamp, and Swerve Cycle. She is certified in YogaFit Warriors Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Emotional and Physical Trauma, Indo-row, Shockwave, and PlyoYoga, and PIYO. She is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Fitness Nutrition Specialist and NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist. She is also certified with the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP)
